Wayne Wong
August 9, 1922 - June 18, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Wayne Hung Wong, 98, retired co-owner of Georgie Porgie Pancake Shoppe and Author of American Paper Son; passed away on June 18, 2021. Visitations will be held Wednesday June 23rd 3-7PM and Thursday June 24th funeral and burial services 10AM at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E. 21st Street. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Kim Suey Wong.
Wayne Wong is survived by his loving family: sister Mah Suit Wing [Hong Kong], brother Henjung Mar (Mona) [Wichita], daughter Linda [California], son David (Lillian) [Wichita], daughter Wilma [California], son Edward (Shawna Kerns) [Wichita], his children: Erik, Kimberly, Kevin and their mother Jean [Wichita], Shawna's children: Curtis and Brandon [Wichita].
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Wayne's caregivers throughout his years; Paula, Katie, Bradley, Morgen, Jessica, Tanner, Carson.
