Wava G Ruckle of Valley Center, KS passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 in Wichita.  Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Old Mission Mortuary with Kenny Baker officiating. Burial will be in the White Chapel Cemetery.  Viewing will be Monday, November 19 ^th from 4-8 p.m. She was born in Montrose, CO on Tuesday, October 10, 1950 to Howard L. Smith and Marjorie E. (Pahrmann) Smith. She spent her younger years in Colorado before moving to Kansas. She was the oldest of eight siblings and a mother of three girls and two stepsons. She was a strong willed woman who knew what she wanted.  She loved to play Bingo, watch her shows and do crafts. Wava is survived by two daughters; Sandy Schrader (Jeff) of Wichita and April Wilson-Snow (Marc) of Bel Aire, and stepson Clinton Ruckle (Peggy) of Wichita, three brothers; Lorn Smith (Judy) of Wichita, KS, Jerry Smith (Briget) of Lawton, OK,  Mike Smith (Glenda) of Andover, KS, and one sister Teresa Spear (Ray) of Wichita, KS. Three grandsons; Patrick and Christopher Schrader both of Wichita, and Destry Wilson of Kansas City ,MO. Granddaughter Isabella Snow of Bel Aire. Three step grandchildren; Sarah, Trenton & Austin Ruckle of Wichita. Two great grandchildren Collin Schrader of Wichita and Jackson Wilson of Kansas City, MO. Wava proceeded in death by both parents, brothers Robert Smith of Kaplan, LA, Tom Smith, Howard Smith Jr. of Wichita, daughter Stacie Wilson of Wichita, stepson Sean Ruckle of Wichita, and her husband of  nearly 24 years James J Ruckle. Memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
