Wanda (Mayo) Schneider, 87 of Wichita, Ks. went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully in her home on May 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by parents Ord and Dorothy Mayo; a sister, Cappy (Mayo) Reid and brother in law, Dale Reid. Survivors include a daughter, Charisse Schneider Garcia (Ignacio) of Albuquerque, NM; a son, Kurt Schneider (Patricia), Capistrano Beach, CA.; a sister, Myrna (Mayo) Moody, Cool, CA; grandchildren, Greg (Lorene), David, Kevin, Daniel and Grant; 3 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Zachary, and Alice Rose.

Wanda graduated North High School in 1947 and attended Wichita State University where she studied art. She was one of the original master gardeners for over 30 years and received the Honor of Emeritus (Master Gardener) in 1996. Wanda was a member of Project Beauty and had a Japanese Garden - one of the most beautiful gardens in Wichita and also hosted many garden tours in Wichita.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate her Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Believers Tabernacle, 2000 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Salvation Army.
