V. Gene Hutto died on Friday, April 10, 2015, but if love could have kept him alive, he would have lived forever. He was born in 1929 in Wichita, Kansas to Vernon and Grace Hutto, who preceded him in death along with his first wife, daughter, and sister. He is survived by his present wife JoAnn, son, Marc, and two granddaughters and one great-grandson. Gene was an avid WSU sports fan. He liked to golf, travel, fish in his spare time and was a 50 year member of the Median Shrine. His family requests that you join in wearing your WSU gear for the funeral service. Visitation will be Monday, 5:00pm-8:00pm, with service to follow Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 1:00, both with Old Mission Mortuary 3424 E. 21st Street.
