Vera May Schwartz died December 17, 2022, with family at her bedside at the age 96. She was born August 20, 1926, in Pretty Prairie, K.S. to Benjamin and Lilly Huxman Schwartz. There were 3 sisters, Dorothy, Florence and Ruby. On November 1, 1946, she married John Robert Lee Mozingo and moved t o Goldsboro, N.C. Mr. Mozingo died July 21, 1968. In 1969 she moved back to Wichita, K.S., with her 4 daughters. On September 13, 1975 she married Melvin F. Hinkle eventually moved to Syracuse K.S. Mr. Hinkle died May 10, 1998. Vera worked at a small telephone switchboard for a year, then she worked a combination of 9 years with Southwestern Bell in Hutchinson and Southern Bell in Goldsboro N.C. She also worked as a cook for 7 years at Pleasant Valley Jr. High. Vera retired in 2004 after 22 years with the State of Kansas Social and Rehabilitation Services as an assistant III. At the age of 77 she moved back to Wichita. Vera is survived by her daughters, Sharron Thomas of Wichita, Bennie Jo and Husband Mike Brumback of Wichita, Norma and her husband Jack Arnold of Enid, O.K.; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild who will be a boy and born in May of 2023; sister in law, Rachel Mozingsof Goldsboro N.C. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church.
