Thelma Nadene (Simpson) Hays, 90, passed away Friday morning, Jan 24, 2014 at her daughter's home in Wichita. She was a native of Highland and Cherryhill, Arkansas, but had been a resident of Wichita since 1943. She was married to Walter Vern "Gabby" Hays, who proceeded her in death by 10 years. Thelma was a wartime worker at Boeing and Beech aircraft. After the war and marrying Vern, she was a dedicated homemaker and mother. She is survived by 2 sisters, 1 brother, 6 children, Nadene (Mittman), Dale, Richard, Rodger, Janice (Gibbs) and Dinah (Mohesky), 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, who all morn her passing. Thelma was proceeded in death by 1 brother and 1 grandchild. Services will be 10am Sat. Feb 1st at Old Mission Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
