Thelma Rae "Maggie" Hoppe passed away May 2,2016 at Cypress Springs Memory
Care, Wichita. She was born to John Zachary Peel and Maggie Rosetta Dandridge in
Atoka, OK, the youngest of eight children. Maggie was a person of tremendous strength
and style. She attended Atoka High School and after graduation, moved to Oklahoma
City, OK to study business at Capitol Hill College. Maggie met and married Myrle
Hoppe in Oklahoma City and they spent many years in Oklahoma before moving to
Wichita. Maggie was a volunteer for the American Heart Association and had been a
member of Petroleum Wives Club and Project Beauty in Wichita. She is preceded in
death by her husband Myrle and grandson Aaron Cope. She is survived by daughter
Janna Hoppe (Ray Wohlford), Wichita and son Rick Hoppe (Susan), Wichita, grandson,
Rick Hoppe, great grandson, Jimmy Cope and many nieces and nephews. A memorial
service will be held 10:30 May 14th at Old Mission Funeral Home.
