Tenna Guthrie was born May 24th, 1945 in Magnus, Arkansas. She was a miracle from the moment she was born weighing in at less than two pounds. She was one of six children born to Cecil and Jewell Barber, Tenna met the love of her life in 1964. She had 4 children that adored her. She now has 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Tenna lived in Wichita most of her life. She worked at Cessna for several years doing sheet metal. As soon as her children grew older she decided she wanted to join her husband and learn to drive a semi. She got her CDL on the 1st try and drove as a team for many years. They had many adventures until they retired in 1998. She enjoyed many things such as fishing, camping, garage sales, traveling in her RV and going to the casino. She had a soft spot for animals and loved every dog she ever met. She was someone who always wanted to take care of everyone. She always had a meal or a place to stay for anyone who needed it. Tenna had many physical problems later in life but she met all of her challenges with grace, humor and dignity. She was the bravest person we had ever known. At the end she was surrounded by her loved ones and Jesus granted her a peaceful release. She will always be remembered as a loving, beautiful and strong person. She will always be loved and cherished.
