Steven Mac Thornburg, 69, of Wichita, Kansas entered eternal rest on April 21, 2025. Steve was born on February 28, 1956, missing by just a few hours of being a leap year baby. He was very active in a variety sports starting at an early age and excelled in many, especially baseball and basketball. Steve was a committed fisherman and an avid Yankees fan. He was fun-loving, adventurous and active until experiencing a traumatic brain injury in 2008. Steve's life was forever changed from that point on.

A life-long Wichitan, Steve spent many years employed by Farmer Brothers Coffee, followed by an extended time with Ecolab. He enjoyed interacting with others, and always had a smile to share. Above all, Steve loved his kids.

Steve is survived by his daughter Sydney (Kyle Merz), granddaughter Kennedy, step-grandchildren Kyleigh and Jordan, and brothers Phil and Doug. He is preceded in death by his son Taylor, parents Wayne and Hyla, brother Greg and nephew Kyle.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th, 12:00 PM at Old Mission Cemetery, 3424 East 21st Street North, Wichita 67208.
