Stephen Earl Corp, 76, of Valley Center, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home with his third wife, Joyce, by his side on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Steve was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 28, 1945, to Phillip W. Corp and Mona Maxine (Wells) Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Douglas E. Corp and his second wife, Janet I. Corp.
He graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas in 1963. He began his 52 year career in sales with Watkins Inc. from 1966 to 1984. He was president and part owner of Manufacturing Tools and Supply from 1984 to 2003 before selling to the Williams F. Hurst Company in 2003, where he was the Sales Manager. He retired in 2018 after a diagnosis of leukemia.
He was instrumental in the founding of The Great Plains Transportation Museum (train museum), where he continued to volunteer. He also enjoyed street rodding, model railroading, target shooting and amateur machining.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Corp, daughters Pamela Cox, Diana (Chuck) Drake, step sons Shawn (Jamie) Hutchinson and Jason Hutchinson, brother, Phil (Anne) Corp, sister Sandra (Joe) Dagnillo, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Cremation has been chosen and a celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
