June 3, 1936 – August 20, 2021
Stanley Dale Harper was born in their Young St house on June 3 rd , 1936, in Wichita, KS. Stan worked as a bricklayer in the
family business, V.D. Harper; Sons Masonry; the brick/stone trade all his career. Stan served in the US Army in France
building cinder block barracks for a few years. He enjoyed music, singing, chess, math and sometimes golf when the ball
was cooperative, and no one was beating him. Stan peacefully passed into eternal glory on Aug. 20, 2021 at the age of
85. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, and brothers Jene; Roland Harper; stepson Darrel Parrish, and
Survived by sister Sue (Bob) Ulrich of Wichita, KS., Daughters Jennifer (Wayne) Sommerfeld of Newton, KS., Jerilyn
(Chris) Agee of Sedgwick, KS., and Son Jonathan (Kate) Harper on Morristown, TN., step Daughters Nancy (Tom) Long of
TX., Connie Stevens of Wichita, and step sons Jimmy Parrish of OK., Tommy Parrish of Wichita, leaving behind 45 grand
and 38 plus great grandchildren. Following the Service, burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery.
