Crandell-Thurman, Sherry Lynn, 56, died peacefully surrounded by family on Feb. 21, 2014. She worked for Tweco Products, Inc.; 6 years in assembly dept. and 18 years at Precision Winding. She was a member of First Independent Assembly of God Church. Sherry enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening and poetry. Preceded in death by mother, Pearl Crandell. Survived by her husband of 14 years, Tim Thurman; son, Travis White of Topeka; sisters, Margaret Doesken, Janie (Abdulah) Danesh, Bessie (Howard) Burgh, Straw (David) Hidaka, Maxine Judd, Tina McEwon, Cindy (Norman) Harden, April (John) Johnson; brother, David (Lisa) Crandell. A Celebration of her Life will be Tues. 10 a.m. at Old Mission Mortuary. "You taught us all the importance of family. We will miss you, but we know Mom is glad to have you back by her side."
