Sharon Davies (McNeil) Thompson, 86, passed away February 10, 2024, in Mulvane, Kansas. She was born October 8, 1937, to Harold E. McNeil and Eulah Mary Davies McNeil. After Eulah Mary's death, eight days after Sharon's birth, she was raised by her maternal grandmother, Lora M. Davies and her maternal aunt, Muriel E. Davies. Sharon was an educator in the Wichita Public Schools and retired after 30 years as an English teacher at Southeast High School. After her husband's retirement from Wichita Public Schools, she supported his pastoral work with United Methodist Churches in several rural communities in Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Katharine A. Thompson. Sharon is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward J. Thompson II; son, William (Deborah) E. Thompson; grandchildren, Andrew (Elisa) J. Thompson and Linnea (Dalton) R. Thompson Mellies and great grandson, Griffin Edward Mellies.
