On September 19, 2013, Sherre Spies was surrounded by her loving family at her home when she was cradled up in the arms of the Lord to meet her loved ones who are already there.

A "Steel Magnolia", Sharon Kay Spies was born on Sept. 29, 1939 in Wichita, Ks to James and Louise (Farris) Duncan. She graduated from West High in 1957 and married John Spies on Aug. 20, 1960. Sherre was a retired Wichita Eagle employee and homemaker. She lived her life fully with her family. She enjoyed planning and hosting birthday parties, shopping, and a great passion for music and dancing.

Sherre is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Rhonda (Mike) Thomas and Stacey (Jason) Titus; sister, Conne Dillon, all of Wichita.

Interim Hospice provided our family with invaluable compassion and knowledge as they held our hands and walked us through the process.
