Sharon Kay Drope, 67, was received into her Saviors open arms on October 23, 2010 after finally succumbing to a broken heart due to the loss of her husband of nearly fifty years. Both are now united and sorely missed.
Mrs. Drope was born on December 2, 1942 in Long Beach, CA to Bill and Irene Beeson. She graduated from Narbonne High School and couldn't wait to marry her boyfriend of the last couple years, Alvin Lynn Drope. They soon bought their first home in Norwalk, CA in 1964 were they resided for over thirty years before making Wichita, KS their place of retirement. Mrs. Drope held many secretarial positions but found a special knack for claims adjuster where her attention to detail' and get to the point' demeanor proved to be very affective. Mrs. Drope was a baptized member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and stuck to those core beliefs to the end. She loved her Lord and found comfort in His Word. Her favorite book outside of the scriptures was The Call at Evening' by Jessie Ward where she was filled with the Lord's spirit while reading and forever reassured in her faith.
Mrs. Drope is survived by her brother, Steve McCrosson, her two sons, Jeff A. Drope and Brian M. Windrope and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at Old Mission Mortuary, just north of the WSU campus, with a grave side service on October 25, 2010 at 1:30pm. Viewing will be available that day prior to the service.
Thank you to all that have showered her and the family with love and prayers. Your reward awaits you in Heaven.
