Ruth Irene Small-Dorr, 94, passed away on March 26, 2009 at Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Kansas.
She was born January 2, 1915 in Rock, Kansas to Lawrence Augustus and Lena (Ferguson) Brosius.
Ruth was a native of Wichita and a life long member of Broadway Christian Church. At the time of her death she was the oldest member of the congregation.
Ruth was married to Bernard Small in 1933. They raised three children, Beverly, Betty and Larry.
She was employed at the Wichita Credit Bureau from 1961 until her retirement in 1980.
Later in life she married her church friend, Louis Dorr. Most of Ruth's lifetime connections were church related. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three children; Beverly (Art) McNew, Betty (Orland) Oswald, Larry (Beth) Small; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will he held at Old Mission Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009
Interment at Old Mission Cemetery.
