Ruth Evelyn (Gore) Johnson, the eleventh of fourteen children born to Andrew Gore and Dovie Moore Gore, was born March 25, 1915 in Valley Mills, Texas.
She confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of the Methodist Church. After moving to Wichita, Kansas, she united with Saint Mark United Methodist in 1978. She was very active in many capacities including the Senior Usher Board, United Methodist Women, Deb-Mart Circle and Education department serving as Church School Secretary. She loved to cook and was always adding her culinary talents when there was a fellowship event.
She was married to Ollie A. Sadler for ten years who preceded her in death. She was married twenty seven years to William A. Johnson who preceded her in death December 23, 1975.
Survivors include step-daughter, Ellen Holt of Omaha, Nebraska; niece Lydia Bands and nephew Roland Banks of Wichita; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
Viewing and visitation will take place Tuesday,June 17, from 2 - 7 p.m. at Old Mission Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 18, at Old Mission Mortuary Chapel at 10:00 a.m..
Burial will follow in Old Mission Cemetery.
