Russell Blaine Zimmer born December 11, 1941, left this earth to be with his wife and son on December 3, 2011.
Russ retired from Boeing as a Tool and Die Maker. He loved family and worked hard to show his children and grandchildren that patience and love could move mountains.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Dorothy Zimmer, his wife Virginia and son Matthew; he left behind Lisa (Mark) Rogers, Dean (Stacy) Zimmer, and Spencer (Karie) Zimmer. Russ leaves behind a brother Brad (Pat) Zimmer, Jamestown, NY and sister Barb (Ang) Cusimano, Frewsburg, NY; his sister- in-law Peggy (Tony) Cosimano and brother-in-law William Werner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Russ's greatest joy was his family and he will be very missed. He loved boats, mustangs and being by the lake in Jamestown, but his most favorite times were with his grandchildren: Austin and Hunter Rogers; Madison, Garrett and Gordon Zimmer; Sam, Kathryn, Alyssa and Nick Zimmer.
We will miss him horribly but he is in a much better place.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the Wesley MICU nurses who helped keep their father comfortable in his final days.
