Ronald D. "Ron" Brooks, 70 of Benton, Louisiana passed away on November 8, 2018.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita, Kansas, officiated by his brother-in-law, Charles Williamson.  Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation from 5-8 PM on Monday, November 12 ^th at the Mortuary.

Ron was born on October 26, 1948 to Fred and Jane Brooks in Humboldt, Kansas. He moved to Benton, La from Wichita, Ks in June of 2017.  He worked at Wichita State University as a custodian.  He was an avid sports fan of football and baseball with special interest in WSU Shockers baseball, he called them "my boys".

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Fred E. Brooks, and Jane Jarvis, his twin brother, Donald Lee Brooks, and his sister Anita Ford.  He is survived by his sister Bonnie Williamson and husband Charles of Benton, La, his nephew Michael Tasche and wife Veronica of Bossier City, La, his niece Michelle Smith and husband Trace of Plain Dealing, La, and five great-nieces and nephews.
