IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond
Shockley
May 16, 1947 – May 19, 2018
Pastor Raymond L. Shockley went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 19, 2018. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 16, 1947. He came to the Lord in a New Year's Eve service at the age of 17. Feeling the call into the ministry, he entered Seminary School at North West Bible College in Minot ND. The early years of his ministry were spent traveling and preaching all over the United States, while also participating in several World Mission trips and opportunities. Pastor Shockley then settled down in Key West where he Pastored the Key West Church of God for the last 26 Easters.
Pastor Shockley had a radio ministry called Moments in Bible Prophecy that was broadcast around the world. He has always had a special love for Bible prophecy, and he spent his ministry as a student of the subject, and therefore would teach anyone with an ear to hear "what the Spirit sayeth unto the churches." He also had a love for Africa where he spent many mission trips teaching and preaching Jesus to the hearts and souls of that continent. Additionally, his ministry helped save many young lives in Sierra Leonne and Zambia by putting 15 children through primary and bible school, paying the cost of life saving surgeries for different medical issues, and by starting a children's program called Johnathan's kids club.
Pastor Shockley is preceded in death by his parents James L. Shockley and Maxine Shockley. As well as his sister Carol Meehan. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Shockley. Sister's Rita Thomas (Larry) and Gloria Bussart. His children Pastor Shawn Shockley (Lori), Rayma Gegg, and Travis Shockley (Debbie), step-children Pamela Kestner (Mark), Robin Occhiolini (Phillip), Karen Leake (Bob) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
