Raymond Marion Johnson, was born May 18, 1919 in Augusta to Raymond M. and Etta Agnes (Dobbins) Johnson. He departed this life on his birthday May 18, 2010 in Wichita at the age of 91.
His story is one of love and devotion that spans decades. Raymond was a retired accountant for Globe Construction and Safelite. He enjoyed bowling, golf and was an avid WSU basketball fan.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Norma Jean in 1985.
Leaving to mourn his passing are his adopted daughters, Paula Herrington and Alice Brewster; and his dog, Oscar who was his constant companion.
Raymond's wishes for a private service will be honored.
In lieu of flowers, he also wanted memorials to be given to Lifeline Animal Placement, 310 W. 45th North, Wichita, Kansas 67204.
