Ramona Nielsen, 80, departed this life October 28, 2008 in Wichita, Kansas. She was the only daughter born September 9, 1928 in Parsons, Kansas to Leo and Musa (Schofield) Brown. Ramona grew up on a farm near Parsons, Kansas and married her high school sweetheart, Bill Nielsen on January 1, 1947 in Parsons, Kansas. She was a homemaker who enjoyed life with her family and friends and valued the memories and moments of them all.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Bill Nielsen of Wichita, Kansas; her son and daughter in law, Derrick and Alicia Nielsen of Andover, Kansas; four loving grandchildren; Amanda, Madison, Zachary, Nathan Nielsen also of Andover, Kansas; her surviving brother and sister in law, Kenneth and Magrit Brown of st. George, Utah; and a host of friends.
The family has chosen a memorial in her name in lieu of flowers to Kansas Children's League, 1365 N. Custer, Wichita, Kansas 67203.
The family would like to extend an invitation to a celebration of Life Memorial Service at first Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 1,2008 at 2:00 p.m.
