Obituary

Phyllis Lou (Woodard) Hendrix passed away on October 6, 2020, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on November 11, 1927, on a farm near Osborne, Kansas. She was the youngest of eight children. Her husband, Marlan, predeceased her on December 28, 2017. She is survived by two sons, Randy Hendrix and Rodger (Connie) Hendrix; daughter, Rita Isenhower; 2 grandsons, Levi Hendrix and Zach Isenhower; three granddaughters, Janae Hendrix, Lisa Gountas and Porsha Hendrix and many nieces and nephews. She attended school in Covert and Downs, Kansas. She was employed at a bank and was an avid seamstress. Phyllis and Marlan were married for 70 years before Marlan passed away. When Marlan retired in 1971 she and Marlan moved to Rogers, Arkansas and had a house built on the shores of Beaver Lake. They lived in Rogers the next 28 years, returning to Wichita in 1999 to be near their children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Andover United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held on October 13, 2020, at 10 A.M. at Old Mission Cemetery.
