Obituary

Patricia Faye Bowen (Pat), A beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend passed away on November 13th, 2025, peacefully in Wichita, Kansas. Patricia's love, humor, food, and generosity will forever be missed.

Pat was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Fay and Doris Buckner who preceded her in death. She was the oldest of the eight children and took on the role of the matriarch after their passing.

After attending Wichita State University, Pat married Victor Bowen. During their union they had her only son, Bryan Bowen. Pat worked for years at the City of Wichita as an administrative assistant in the personnel department. She took pride in knowing she was instrumental in finding jobs for individuals in need. She left that job to take care of her mother who became ill. After her mother's passing, she had stints in Arlington, Texas and Aurora, Colorado before moving back to Wichita. Pat retired in 2016. She leaves us many memories for us to cherish.

Pat was known as an amazing cook. Her "Mama Burgers" are a family staple and one of many delicious meals made with love and care. We will also miss Pats unique and raw sense of humor. Patricia is definitely one of a kind.

Also, preceding her in death are her grandparents Fay and Lauretta Buckner, her aunt Beazie, Uncle S.L., and her nephew Christopher L. McIntyre.

Those left to cherish and honor her memories are Bryan Bowen (Son), LaBrandon Bowen and Brisel Bowen (Grandchildren), Joyce McIntyre (Sister), and Brothers – Darrell, Raymond, Larry, Terry, Teddy, and Robin Buckner. Special Friends – Sandra and Carl Nickels, Bettye Holloway, along with plenty of nieces and nephews who will truly miss her.

Pat has gone on to be with the ones who went before her. To those who remain here on this earth we will always love and cherish her legacy. We give thanks to God for blessing us with time in her presence.
