Obituary

Oneida Elaine Geddis was born to Charles Wallace and Elaine Julia Augustine on March 19th, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She was one of 5 siblings.  During childhood, her family moved to Vallejo, California.  She later received her education from Vallejo Public Schools in Vallejo, California.
Mrs. Geddis married Levi McKinley Geddis on September 24th, 1960.
During their 51 year marriage, Oneida worked at the Travis Air Force Base as a School Assistant between 1963-1966.  She worked as a waitress between 1967-1982 at two restaurants, one including the past renowned Nut Tree in Vacaville, California.  During this time she acquired her Associates Degree at Solano Community College in Fairfield, California.
As her husband was transferred to Reese Air Force Base.  They later moved to Lubbock, Texas where she worked at Texas Instruments on the software productions line.  In 1984-85, they later moved to Wichita, Kansas as he was transferred to McConnell Air Force Base.  Oneida worked for tow Avionic companies as a Electrical Technician one included Beechcraft/Textron Avionics were she retired.
Oneida was a very spiritual being through Christ Jesus throughout her life.  After retirement she pursued her calling from the Holy Spirit and became an Ordained Minister at Royal Priesthood Ministries in Wichita, Kansas.  She touched all who would listen and hear about the word and workings of God.
Her faith surrounded every aspect of her life including all of her family and those who she came into contact with here and afar.
She is survived by her loving three sons - Maurice A. Geddis, Marion S. Geddis (Angela) and Mark B Geddis (Kimberly), sisters - Eleanor M Williams, Jean Jones-Covington (Manford) and Ann P. Townsend, grandchildren - Taylor Geddis, Tiffany Geddis, Aharon Geddis, Tevin Geddis, Marqese Jones, Chris Jones, Bylyn Lewis-Geddis, Daniel O. Russell, Dayzi M. Geddis, and Jaxon D. Geddis, great-grandchildren - Levi C. Geddis and McKinley L Geddis.  She is proceded in death by her husband, Levi McKinley Geddis; her parents, Elaine J. Augustine and Charles W. Augustine, her brother, Irving W. Augustine; her sister, Linda L. Young; and her grandchild, Demetrius Safford-Geddis.
