Oliver Martin Whiteside II
Born Oct. 20, 1923; Grapevine TX. Passed Apr. 12 at the age of 97.
A life long resident of Wichita, he retired from Cessna Aircraft and became a greeter at Sam's. Served under Gen. Patton in WW II and was a patriot who always flew the flag. He was an active Shrine bowler into his 90's.
Preceded in death by his wife of 74 years. Lettie Ruth Carmichael Whiteside. Oliver is survived by: Son, Martin (Fay) Whiteside III, Daughters Loraine (Daryl) Rainer , Shirley (Jerry) Hill. 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Services will be held 1:30 April 28 at Old Mission Mortuary
