Norma Lou McCray passed away at home on September 22, 2021. She was born in Ava, Missouri on October 25, 1936 to Otis and Mildred Phillips. Norma loved her family with all of her heart. Every holiday was spent gathered in their home making beautiful memories with family. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren lit up her world. She also loved cooking and baking. Everyone that knew Norma knew she made the most delicious cookies on earth. She was also an incredible seamstress and quilter. She had even won some awards on some of her quilts. She retired from the Sedgwick County Extension Office where she taught sewing classes. Norma was the mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother who could do it all, she was so very talented. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Munroe (Gary); brother, Gary Phillips; grandchildren, Shad Munroe (Lynde), Lacie Thome (Jordan), Taylor Munroe and Patrick McCray; great grandchildren, Millyanna Munroe, Kamdyn Thome, Kolbe Thome and Brinklee Thome. Norma is preceded by her parents, Otis and Mildred Phillips; husband, Donald McCray; son, Mark McCray and great granddaughter, Kyrie Thome. She is forever loved and will be greatly missed.
