Norma Nadine Johnson, 94, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, at her daughter Sandy’s home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Norma was born February 29, 1932, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to John Henry Anderson Fields and Lillian Pearl Sanburn Fields. She was a 1967 graduate of Wichita South High School.
Norma is survived by her four children, Deborah (Dwight) Rhodes, Sandra (Gregg) Wright, Robert (Susan) Johnson, and Darrell (Trish) Johnson; three sisters; one brother; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Johnson; her parents; five siblings; a great-granddaughter; and two daughters-in-law.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, cherished sister, talented quilter, wonderful cook, and a woman whose generosity and love reached far beyond her own home. Her family will carry her memory, her traditions, and her love forward for generations to come.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Wichita Children’s Home - 7271 E 37th St N, Wichita, KS 67226
A visitation will take place from 5:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday, August 20th at Old Mission Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Friday, August 21st at Old Mission Mortuary, burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
