Mickie Dickinson, 91, died Thursday, February 3, 2011.
She was born in Dallas, Texas June 15, 1919. She married Mike Dickinson in 1949. He became the director of advertising at Texas Power and Light. They were also members of The Press Club of Dallas.
In 1993, Mickie moved here to be with her daughter, Deborah. She immediately became involved in volunteering, beginning at the Orpheum, helping to clean and restore. She was an Ombudsmen, a volunteer at Wesley Senior Services, and also worked with Wayne Bryant at Music Theatre of Wichita; as well as many more organizations. Survivors include; daughter, Deborah; granddaughter, Leslie Rives, and great granddaughter, Lauren of Oxford, Mississippi.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, February 11, 2:00 p.m. at Mission Chapel Mausoleum. Please enter the A-frame mausoleum through the center, south entrance.
