Melva E. Chapman (Pruett) 63, Loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday February 19, 2020.

Melva was born July 7, 1956 to Clara Jane (Lassley) Brooks and Melvin Pruett in Wichita, KS. At a young age she had two children; Stephanie and Jason. Melva met Charles while working at Miraflex and were soon married on March 24, 1978 in Pawhuska, OK. and together they had Charla Jane.

Melva lived, loved and together they worked hard to provide for and raise three children over the next 42 years.

Melva is preceded in death by both parents Melvin and Clara; her granddaughter KayAnna and great-granddaughter Yesenia (Yesi) Jayne.

Melva is survived by her loving husband Charles A. Chapman, son: Jason Brooks, Daughters: Stephanie (Tim) Haymond; Charla Jane (DJ) Pierce; Tisha (Rod) Chapman; Kelly Chapman, grandchildren; Tara Jayne (Luis) Rangel, Zach Haymond, Tommie, and Austin Brooks, Morgan, Kameron, Chayce, and Justin Pierce, David Marshall, Greg and Taylor Chapman; great-grandchildren Yandel and Vincent Rangel, Aiden Marshall, Gracen and McKenzie and Barrett Chapman.
