Obituary

Megan Ann Hamill-Strickler was born at Via Christi Saint Francis in Wichita on March 17, 1989 to John and Margaret Hamill-Strickler. Megan passed away in Wichita on August 16, 2025.

Megan was an active and quiet child. She attended Earhart Environmental Magnet, Brooks Magnet Middle School, and she graduated from Wichita Heights. She received an Associates Degree from Butler Community College and she attended Wichita State University. Megan worked for American Eagle Outfitters as an Associate and Assistant Manager, she was a para-educator at Andover High School, and was a utilization review specialist for alcohol treatment facilities. She had interests in science, engineering, and politics. She had a good sense of humor and like to do show and movie quotes with impersonations, especially from South Park.

Megan is survived by her father, John E. Strickler, and her step-mother, Debbie Strickler, both of Andover, KS; her step-sisters Polly (Nick) Wasinger of Wichita, KS and Hanna (Andrew) Hermann of Park City, KS; her grandmother, Joan C. Strickler of Manhattan, KS; her aunt Carole Hay of Saint Louis, MO and her cousins, Nikki Marcotte of Chicago, Baylee Marcotte of Chicago and Abbey Marcotte of Arnhem, the Netherlands.

Megan is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret A. Hamill-Strickler; her maternal grandparents, Walt and Lucille Hamill, and her paternal grandfather, John K. Strickler.

Memorials are being established with Alcohol Justice and The Neurodiversity Alliance. Remembrances, in lieu of funeral services, are pending.
