Mary Ellen (Griffith) Taggart went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2021. She was born on March 28, 1937 to James and Alice Griffith in Neosho, MO. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1955 and went on to join the US Army where she served as a nurse. In 1973, she moved her family to Wichita, KS and began working in food & beverage. She worked for many different establishments including Wichita State University where she retired in 2002. Mary was a long time member of Dawson United Methodist Church, Daughters of the Nile and Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale L.Taggart and her parents. She is survived by sister Faye (Bob) Fountain; children, Michael (Michelle) Palmer, Cheryl (Keith) Miller, Kristi (Ralph) Pelkey, Paula Liggett, Pat (Charlene) Taggart, Becky (Bud) Bennett; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 nephew; 1 great-niece and many dear friends.
