April 12, 1950 – March 31, 2026
Marvin Sidebottom, 75, passed away March 31st, 2026, at his home in Wichita after a lengthy illness, with family at his side. He was born April 12, 1950, to the late Harold and Bernice Sidebottom. Marvin met Lori Anderson in 1991 and August 10th 1996 they were united in marriage. Marvin was raised in WIchita, KS and loved to spend a lot of his time outdoors, fishing, camping and traveling to various family members' homes to spend time with them in his younger years. Marvin also loved to work with his hands, you could find him taking things apart and putting them back together. Marvin worked for Raytheon for 16 years, then in 1989 he and a long time friend purchased the Newton Dairy Queen which he operated for over 20 years. Marvin was loved and admired by all who knew him. Marvin is survived by his wife Lori, and his step children Dr. Stephanie Meilleur, DVM, of Lansing, Michigan, Joshua Stewart, Hutchinson, KS and Donald Stewart, Wichita, KS. Grandchildren, Acelynn Grace of Topeka, KS, Brookelyn Mishler, and Jaxsyn Seibel, of Hutchinson, KS. Sister Willa (Chris) Dahl of Geneseo, IL, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bernice Sidebottom, brother Dean, and Sister Alice Webster. Memorial Service April 13th, 2026 ar 11am at Old Mission Mortuary, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
