Obituary

In memory of Martha Sharp:

She was born August 12, 1933 in Coldwater, KS to Michael and Julia (Annette) Jabara.  At an early age she and her family moved to Wichita.  After graduating from East high school, she when to St. Joe nursing school to become an RN in 1954.  In 1958 she sailed on The RMS Queen Mary to London.

She met Raymond Sharp in the early 60's and they married on November 4, 1962.  In 1963, she had her only child, Joseph Drew. As a wife of a career Air Force jet engine mechanic she lived in several states: Nebraska, Maine, Texas, New York, Kansas, and California.

Martha loved to camp and travel.  She had the opportunity to visit most states while camping and traveled to the Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Europe, and Alaska.

After retiring in 1993, she moved back to Wichita, and continue to be active within the community, volunteering at Wesley Hospital, belonged to a several ladies groups, bowled with family members and was active member within her church.
