Marion Gonzales, 85, died to this life on October 9, 2018 in Wichita, KS. She was born January 23, 1933 in Coffeyville, KS to Fern Sutton. On June 22, 1959, she married Anthony L. Gonzales in Missouri, and they were married for 39 years. Mary brought to the marriage her daughter, Marilyn. Born to their union were Anthony, Theresa and Sherry, all born in Ft. Riley, Kansas, where the family was stationed with the U.S. Army. She loved being an Army wife and traveling to new places every three or four years. She was a beloved mother and homemaker. While her husband was serving his country in Vietnam, she worked as an LPN at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Independence, MO, doing her part in serving her country by caring for the elderly. She also worked for the base commissary in Giessen, Germany, and managed the Frontier Senior Apartments in Cheyenne, WY until she retired. Mom loved her sweeties and never met a cookie she didn't like. She had a very sweet sense of humor that never left her, which gave her children great comfort.

She is survived by her brother Rick (Judy) Cady, children Marilyn (Henry) Grubbs, Anthony Gonzales, Theresa Gonzales and Sherry (Ed) Goetz; her children from her first marriage: Andy, Tommy, Robert and Gloria Murillo; Benito Lupercio; grandchildren Henry, Susan, Ben and Mary; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Fern and Fred Cady; husband, Anthony; sisters Gertrude Sutton, Sylvia Lee Follet, Betty Messina and Violet Finley.
