Obituary

Marcella "Marcie" Leppke passed away on January 6, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1934 in Argonia, KS to Leo and Pauline Schauf. She is survived by her children Cathy Marbut and Lesa Weller, her grandchildren Erica Willis, Jinny Rogers, Stacey Marbut, Nathan Marbut, and her great-grandchildren Conner and Aubrey.

Marcie was the middle child in a family of thirteen children. She married and moved to California, where she had four daughters. She worked various jobs, including as a waitress for Harland David Sanders (AKA Colonel Sanders). After returning to Kansas, she began working for Boeing until she retired. She also met and married the love of her life, Marvin Leppke. They enjoyed many years of happiness until his death in 2004.

Marcie was a devout christian, who followed Jesus faithfully until she was called home. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, games, and cooking. She made the best fried chicken. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Marcie was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Leppke; and her daughters Linda Marbut and Donna Monk.

A service will be held at South Life Church 1011 W 55th St S, Wichita, KS 67217 on Friday January 23rd at 11 am.
