Levi M. Geddis, departed this life on Nov. 18, 2011. Mr. Geddis was born in Ridgeville, SC on Feb. 11, 1938, one of 14 children born to the late Joseph and Maybell Geddis of Dorchester County.
Mr. Geddis married Oneida Elaine Geddis of Vallejo, Calif. on Sept. 24, 1960.
He was a retired Air Force Veteran, a Civil Service retiree, member of Firma Lodge No. 27 and The American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Minister Oneida Geddis, their 3 sons, Minister Maurice Geddis of Sacramento, CA; Marlon and Angela Geddis of Midwest City, OK; Mark and Kimberly Geddis of Wichita, KS; 7 brothers, Nathan Geddis of Ridgeville, SC; J.C. of Miami, FL; Herbert of Ravenal, SC; Reverend Willard of Hampton, SC; Irvin of Ocean Side, CA; Franklin of Columbia, SC; Thomas Geddis of Ridgeville, SC; 5 sisters, Beatrice Smith of Summerville, SC; Betty Felder of Florence, SC; Ella Quinlan-Oatis of Carson, CA; Anna Ruth Edwards of Ridgeville, SC; Patricia Green of Ridgeville, SC; 6 grandchildren; Taylor, Tiffany, Aharon, Tevin, Bylyn and Demetrius Geddis. Levi was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Levhon Geddis.
Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Old Mission Mortuary Chapel.
