Lee Wayne "Pat"
Broom
Oct 12, 1939 — Sep 29, 2026
Saturday
Park City Community Building
Starts at 1:00 pm (Central time)
Pat loved life, camping, family and friends, and a hot cup of coffee. Fishing was his favorite way to spend a hot summer day.
He worked several jobs throughout his life, but the one most memorable was the 17 plus years for Frisco Railroad as Trackforeman even when it was taken over by Burlington Northern. He also worked in roofing with family as well as becoming a member of the Elks Lodge #427 and 7 years on the board at Castle View and helping beautify the property. He never met any strangers along the way, once you talked with him you became instant friends and family. My favorite quote was if you ever asked him to do something he would say, “that’ll cost ya a dollar 3.82”
Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and Lester Broom; sisters, Gusta Neal and Mary Simmons; brother, D.B. Broom; bonus son, Chris Jones; as well as brother-in-laws, and niece Kim.
He is survived by his wife, Dorthy Ann; children, Jerri, Gary, and Terry; bonus sons, Ronnie, Ben, and their families; sister, Glenda Griggs; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Life Celebration will take place on June 12th, 2027 at 1:00pm at the Park City Community Building, located at 6801 N, Hydraulic.
