Laurene Allen was born on August 31, 1924 in Reeds Spring, Missouri to Lula and Melvin Gross. She went to be with the Lord at the age of 96 on July 25, 2021.

She married David Edgar Allen of Day, Taney County, Missouri on October 12, 1943. They went on to have seven children, six boys and one girl. She worked at Beech Aircraft and retired from Learjet.

She was a strong woman of faith and loved going to church, studying the bible and taking her grandchildren to church. She loved crocheting, sewing and making clothing for her children and grandchildren. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by Stan and Phillis Allen of Wichita, KS; Ken and Cheryl Allen of Wichita, KS; Darrold and Linda Allen of Wichita, KS; Peggy and Kenny Boothe of Fayetteville, AR; Steve and Tammy Allen of Leon, KS; David and Cathy Allen of Wichita, KS; brother Raymon Gross of Omaha, AR; 20 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by David Edgar Allen; her son Gary Allen and his wife Kathy Allen of Liberal, KS; Courtney Allen of Liberal, KS and Morgan Allen of Wichita, KS.
