Kenneth E. Wheeler, 79, passed away October 14, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born October 17, 1945, to Merton and Irene (Buchholz) Wheeler. He was one of 5 children from this union.

Kenny became a father to his oldest Kim in 1964, he was married a short time to her mother, In 1971 he married the love of his life Shelly & they had two sons, Kevin & Kirk.

Kenny was in the Army & was deployed to Vietnam where he was wounded in combat & later received a purple heart.

Kenny worked at the postal service working his way up to Postmaster of Harper, Kansas,  when he retired he was able to start enjoying his passion for golf by golfing almost daily, he was able to take quite a few trips with his golfing buddies,  over the years he had went on many snow skiing trips with his family, he also enjoyed bowling & his favorite past time was watching TV.  He also was a  huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs & was able to attend quite a few games with Kim & her sons.

He was survived by his wife, Michele Wheeler, daughter Kim (Joe) Hawkins, sons Kevin (Amanda) Wheeler and Kirk (LeeAnn) Wheeler, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Irene Wheeler, sister Beverly Kirby and son in law Brian Rasmussen.

Funeral services will be held on October 23, 2025, at Old Mission Mortuary at 11:00AM, with visitation one hour prior, followed by a graveside service at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
