Karl Joseph Putnam, 77 passed away Tuesday Dec. 22nd 2015. He was preceded by his parents, Dr. Lyle Putnam and Maurine Putnam, and sister Anne Putnam. Karl was born in Topeka, Ks. on July 24th 1938. He grew up on a farm in El Dorado, Ks. where he helped his family tend to the farm animals. In 1989, New Hope of Valley Center became his home and this is where he would spend the remainder of his life. Over the years Karl's New Hope family has grown and he will be dearly missed by all. Karl loved to play jokes on people and really enjoyed shocking his friends by putting a cold drink on their skin and then ask them "Did I shock you?' Everything he ate he would put Tabasco Sauce on, he loved new wrist watches, visiting with his friends and watching the weather channel on his TV. A visitation has been set up on Monday Jan. 4th 2016 from 4-8 pm. at Old Mission Mortuary. Services will be held at Old Mission Mortuary On Tuesday Jan. 5th 2016 at 11:00 am. A memorial has been set up with New Hope.
