Judith Ann Downing's Obituary

Judith (Judy) Ann Downing was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 28, 1943 to Walter Sidney Zaring, Sr and Lorene Maxlie Davis-Kralicek. She passed away in Mulvane, Kansas on August 25, 2026.
Judy was an avid reader, seamstress and enjoyed getting together with her sisters to play Scrabble. She was family oriented, from helping to raise her siblings to motherhood, to grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved every moment. Judy had a long proud career as a Haysville school bus driver starting in 1987 and retiring in 2009.
Judy is survived by her children Debra M. Griffin-Prather (John), Katherine S. Conner, and Jason A. Downing (Crystal) and grandchildren Michelle (Kenneth) Crowder, Kayla (James) Apostolidis, Zach Middleton, and Jillian Conner. Judy has nine great-grandchildren: Ryland, Korina, Violet, Shiloh, August and Juliet Crowder and Ester, Fitz, and Juniper Apostolidis. She is also survived by siblings Pat Henry and Walter Zaring, Jr.
She is preceded in death by her parents Walter S. Zaring, Sr and Lorene M. Davis-Kralicek, and her grandparents Alonzo Sidney and May Lillian Zaring and Joe and Thelma Davis. She is also preceded by siblings Robert L. Kralicek, Jr, Donna Kralicek-Maxwell, Barbara Kralicek-Reyes and Rita Kralicek.
Services will be held at Old Mission Mortuary on September 2. Visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and Service at 11:00 am.
