Jonelle Turner was born May 24, 1952 to Robert Joseph and Dorothy Maxine (Boone) Blackburn in Wichita, Ks. She died on July 20, 2016 in Wichita, Ks. at the age of 64. She was Assistant Director of Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs and retired after over 30 years of service at Wichita State University. Jonelle enjoyed life with her family and friends and treasured the memories and moments with all. She was athletic, loved the outdoors and was very creative and artistic. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Leonard; a daughter, Amy (Justin) Owens; two sisters, Barbara (Larry) Hays and Elizabeth, (Jerry) Highfill. A Memorial service will be held Wed., July 27, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Old Mission Mortuary Chapel. A private inurnment will be held.
