John A. Roundtree was born in Hill City, Ks. on Feburary 8, 1935. John lived there unti he was six weeks old, then moved to Wichita after a dust storm that almost killed him. He went to school in Wichita and Junction City, Ks. John visited his grandparents there with his two brothers. John met his wife Rebecca Markham in 1956 and married in 1957 for 61 years. He worked as a mechanic and a sewer cleaner for Roto Rooter for 31 years. John and Rebecca had six children, John Jr., Audrey, Sharon, Veronica, Fred, Carla, 1 adopted granddaughter Nicole and his adopted dog Fancy Sue. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother Gene Rountree and his sister Carol Thompson. He will be deeply loved and missed.
