Eldon (John)Byers, died October 7, 2009. He was born December 31, 1919 in May Oklahoma to John and Gertrude Byers. He graduated from Fort Supply, Oklahoma High School as valedictorian in 1938. Mr. Byers attended American Business College in Wichita; worked for Jenkins Music Company, Boeing and retired from Van Dusen Aircraft Supplies. For several years he volunteered as a driver at United Methodist Urban Ministries. Eldon married Anita Marcy on September 26, 1942. Most important happening in my life was my marriage to Anita and our three children; Sherry, Randy and John.
Eldon was preceded in death by brothers, Neil, Keith and two others who passed away shortly after birth; one sister, Mildred Roberson, in 1999.
Mr. Byers is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anita; and three children; Sherry, Randy and John.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at Old Mission Mortuary.
