Joe Louis Johnson passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in Midlothian, Texas.
Visitation will be Monday, July 5 from 4-8 pm at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E. 21st St, Wichita, KS 67208. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Old Mission Mortuary. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.

Joe was born June 21, 1939 in Clarksville, Texas to Horace James Johnson and Willie Mae Bell-Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Willie Roy (Billy), Bobby Joe, Leeophis and Horace Wayne; granddaughter, Latoya; and great-granddaughter, Tahila.

Joe leaves behind two sons: Gerald Dewayne Pickett of Arlington, TX and Gregory Brian (Joyce) Johnson of Wichita, KS; one daughter, Tiffany Dionne Satisfield of Mansfield, TX; sister, Mary Childers of Minneapolis, MN; and brother, Clevophis Johnson of Wichita, KS; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, too numerous to name.
