JoAnn E. Star, 68. August 16, 1958-October 20, 2019

Retired. United Methodist Lay Speaker, Artist, Native American Advocate and Educator has passed due to Cancer surrounded by her children.

JoAnn was the embodiment of kindness and compassion. She was well known for her involvement in the Indian community in her home town of Wichita, KS and beyond. An ardent follower of Christ, she was very involved with her church family teaching Sunday school and leading church services for many years. JoAnn loved and lived in art. Everything from sewing, painting, Native bead work and sculpture.

JoAnn was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend to so, so many.

She is survived by daughter Cherice, son Shawn, Sister Irma, Brother Ed, 9 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
