[Jimmy Luther (J.L) Washington Sr. was born on June 3, 1946 in Clarksville, Texas to Luther and Salle Mae. He was one of fourteen children.
I Jimmy moved to Wichita, Kansas when he was three years old. He
attended Wichita Public School and graduated from Wichita Heights
High School. He retired from Ludeman Insulation and Supply. He
attended Gospel Mission Missionary Church in his youth and entered in
holy matrimony to Marsha Jane Jones.
On August 16, 2019, God removed Jimmy from this life and granted him eternal peace and rest.
Jimmy known to some as "J.L" will be remembered as a loving, supportive and giving person.
He devoted his life to caring and providing for his family and cherishing those closest to him.
Jimmy loved to watch all sports and spend time with family.
One Sister Martha and three Brothers George, Benny and Luther (Sonny) preceded him in
death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years: Marsha Jane Wasngto
Overton (David), fytrese Jones, both of Wichita, Kart$as.Sons: Jimmy
Shaun Jones (Ang^J, Lance Washington, all of Wichita, Kansas; Kouri Washington (Jacqueline)
of Roscoe, Illinois, and Rashad Washington (Dalencia) ofCrowley, Texas. Brothers: Willie, Ronnie, Curtis and Anthony Washington. Sisters: Betty Burton, JoAnn Rogers, Sherry Matthews,
Janice Tippins and Glehda Washington. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
