Jimmie Ford 82 of Wichita, Ks passed away on Wednesday September 13th, 2023 in his home. He was born April 3rd, 1941 to Mitchell and Antha Ford, he enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18 and was stationed at Schofield Army base in Hawaii 25th infantry.

Jimmie was made a Staff Sargent when he sent to Vietnam and was shot in the ankle. He later married Maydeen L. Kamae June 6th, 1964, their first child was born on October 6th, 1964, her name was Sharon K. Ford and she was born in Kahuku Hospital. Ten months later they had a son named Jimmie H. Ford born September 7th, 1965, then Mitchell Ford, their last child, was born August 7th, 1968, in Fort Benning, Georgia.

He was the smallest, and weighed under 5 pounds. Jimmy started painting while in Fort Benning Georgia over the years he sold and gave his paintings to family and friends, giving them away gave him much joy.

Jimmie Howard Ford is proceeded in death by his wife, Maydeen Ford in 2019 and his father Mitchell Howard Ford of West Plains Mo. February 25, 1992 and Mother Antha Sanford Burchett died in November of 2015 and Sister Betty Jean Ford April 29th, 1941, sister Ada Hess who died Jan 2, 2021 and sister Dolly Bucktrot who died June 9th, 2023.

Jimmie H. Ford was, by friends and family on September 13th, 2023, in his home. Jimmie is survived by Barbra Lasher of Oklahoma, Julie Hess of Arkansas, Billy Ford of Arkansas and Tommy Ford of Arkansas. His Daughter, Sharon K. Ford-Fitchett; Son, Jimmie H. Ford wife Lorrie Ford of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mitchell H. Ford Wife Karen Ford of California.

Grandchildren, Charity L. Wilson, Jerry D. Fitchett, Amber Hamm, Robert Ford, Taylor Ford, Amanda Ford, Kelsey Borror, Brandon Ford and Lenee Ford, Chris Fitchett and Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Christine Hamm (Ford) for helping to care for Jimmie Ford.
