IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet Louise
Kester
February 22, 1940 – January 8, 2022
Janet Kester was welcomed into Heaven on the morning of January 8, 2022. She
was 81.
Janet was born in Okeene, Oklahoma on February 22, 1940. She was the
plumbing department manager at Payless Cashways, eventually retiring from
UBC. She was a hard worker and a quick learner. She enjoyed doing projects at
home, yardwork, and watching sports on TV, seldom missing any games of her
beloved KU Jayhawks and Dallas Cowboys. She loved all the family pets, but most
of all loved spending time with her family. She was easy to talk to and gave good
advice. She wasn't afraid to give you a good talking to if she felt it was needed,
but it was always done with love. The impact she has left upon her family's hearts
will undoubtedly be shared for generations to come. She loved deeply and was
deeply loved.
Janet was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Eunice and George
Babb; and her father, Eldon Gile; her siblings: Jorene, Gary, Les, Dwain, Paul, and
Sandra; and her granddaughter, Rebecca.
Missing Janet will be her four children: Lance (Cyndy) Kester, Scott Kester,
Tammy (Eddie) Bryant, Jerry (Jeannie) Kester; her 10 grandchildren: Satrina,
Jerika, Candice, Joshua, Zachary, Jacquelynne, Jessica, Jeriko, Elijah, and
Anastasia; her 14 great grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.
